Merry Christmas and happy holidays from everyone here at The Swellers’ camp. We leave you with this holiday classic from the almighty Vandals. Hope to see all our New Jersey friends on Monday at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park for our show with The Bouncing Souls, Fake Problems, and Lemuria!
On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a 60 MINUTES story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was amob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy. In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering. There will be no further comment from CBS News and Correspondent Logan and her family respectfully request privacy at this time.
This is devastating.

Hillary delivers the best response to yesterday’s attack on Planned Parenthood
I’ve always been an admirer of Hillary Clinton since I listened to her give the commencement speech at my sister’s graduation from Drew University in 1996. It’s impressive to watch her speak here, unrehearsed. You can see her initially gathering her thoughts before the ball really starts rolling.
And oh how it rolls.
This is an important observation. The budget crunch is caused by the recession. The recession was not caused by *too much* regulation or by public sector benefits. If I steal your wallet and then suggest that you get your money back by stiffing the waiter on the tip, you’d be crazy to listen to me.

Pat Baer makes the inaugural purchase for the new UCB Training Center vending machine!!!
Last night was so much fun!
Went to the Tumblr meet-up, ate Taco Bell with Jessica, went to Sinchon to say goodbye to old co-workers, missed the last train so grabbed a Cass and walked back to Hongdae, ate really good french fries, danced at Papa Gorilla’s, danced at S Club, taxied home, Skyped with mom and grandma, passed out.
Then today I slept until 3, met Eva for dinner and dessert in HBC, and now I’m packing and listening to Savage Love. In two weeks, I’ll be in the Philippines!
